June in Switzerland is when the country starts to warm up properly, and when the summer season tourists slowly begin to arrive. You’re still out of peak season enough that it isn’t overly busy anywhere but the country is definitely gearing up for it. This is also the month when all the mountain excursions via public transport should be open, (this is obviously weather dependant as snow and storms can change this), but it makes for some beautiful beginning of the summer season hiking with fewer crowds.

The average daily temperature across the country is 21°C / 70°F, with night-time temperatures of around 11°C / 52°F, but this can vary depending on location, for example mountain resorts are often a little cooler and the canton of Ticino a little warmer.
