What is the Swiss Coupon Pass / What is the Digital Swiss Coupon Pass?
The Swiss Coupon Pass is basically a discount booklet for excursions on mountains and lakes, sightseeing tours, museums, dining and, best of all, discounts on cheese and chocolate factories too! Most of the offers are ‘2-for-1’, so it is best used by a couple /pair of travellers. You can purchase it as a physical booklet for the whole country in English or German, or as a digital booklet for the whole country of individual cantons.
Is the Swiss Coupon Pass worth it?
100% yes, the Swiss Coupon Pass, or Digital Swiss Coupon Pass, is very much worth it for most trips to Switzerland, assuming you want to experience some of the local culture or take a trip or two up a mountain or on a lake. It also offers a lot of discounts that you won’t get with any Swiss rail pass or city pass, so you can save even more money!
The Swiss Coupon Pass Benefits and Discounts
With the Swiss Coupon Pass, there are savings of up to CHF 4,500, and even if you don’t use them all, (which we never do each year!), if you just do a couple of excursions, for example, visit a cheese factory and take a trip on a lake, you will have already made your money back.

You can buy the Swiss Coupon Pass and Digital Swiss Coupon Pass online from the Switzerland Travel Centre. Don’t forget to use our discount code AFFTEDALDI at checkout to receive 20% off your pass!
We have both the physical and digital booklets, (as often we forget to take the physical one with us), but we would highly recommend getting the Digital Swiss Coupon Pass, which is slightly cheaper and has the option to get only the areas of the country that you will need for an even cheaper rate, rather than paying for a pass covering everywhere.
How to use the Swiss Coupon Pass
It is slightly different for the physical and digital coupon passes, so we will set them both out below:
Swiss Coupon Pass – Physical Pass
Once you have purchased your pass, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of the shipping and delivery time, which can vary depending on where you are in the world. Once you receive your booklet, all you need to do is remove the coupon you want to use when you want to use it and hand it over to the provider on site, where you will be given your discount. Just remember to take it with you on your trip!

Digital Swiss Coupon Pass
Once you have purchased your pass, you will receive a confirmation email with an activation link. Click on the link and you will be redirected to a web page where you can enter your details and activate your pass. There is no need to download an app; it is all done through a web-based platform.
Simply click on ‘Activate Digital Swiss Coupon Pass’, then ‘I have a code’, input your code then your selected pass / passes will be ready to use! You can then search for your coupons in the Coupon Overview or via the map. Once you have a coupon you want to use, click on the experience and then select ‘Redeem coupon’.

Most of the offers only have a 15-minute window in which you have to present the code, so don’t activate it until you need it, but remember to show it! Also, be sure to check opening hours and any additional information about the coupon (all of this is on the dedicated coupon page), incase of closures on certain days or limited opening hours, you don’t want to turn up and be disappointed.
You can use as many of the coupons as you want throughout your trip to Switzerland; there is no limit, so it is a fantastic way to save money and enjoy Switzerland for less!
