Is there Uber in Switzerland? Yes, Uber is available in most of Switzerland but it can be much more expensive than just using the local public transport network or trains, trams and buses. It can also be much more difficult to get if you are in the towns and villages around the mountains. There are a few locations in Switzerland that are car free, including Lauterbrunnen and Zermatt, so of course there won’t be any Uber available there.
That being said, if you need to get a taxi anywhere then Uber is a great option and easy to use without needing to know the local language, (which can change depending on which canton you are in!).
